Genanvendt: unconventional, sustainable, upcycled art, craft and design.

Genanvendt is a webshop and shop with lots of quirky, raw, unconventional, sustainable, upcycled art, craft and design! We, the designer couple behind Genanvendt, Anna Lynge og Jesper Fejerskov, aim to use recycled materials when creating our designs and crafts, whenever possible. This means that we use materials that usually would have been discarded and make something completely new. The name of our company, Genanvendt, means upcycled, reused or used again in Danish. Genanvendt works with sustainable design to promote a society with less waste.

“Upcycling” is a kind of recycling but with a creative approach. When you upcycle, you add value to a discarded material by creating a new product. Often the upcycled product will have an increased value in its new form as its lifetime has been prolonged compared to when it was supposed to be discarded.

All Genanvendt’s art, craft and design is entirely unique and no two products are alike. Therefore, variations can occur even though the base product is the same – which only makes the products even more distinctive.

Genanvendt sells most of our upcycled craft, art and design here in the webshop, but we also have a small shop in the Danish beach town Lundeborg. The shop is open during the summer and during the winter by appointment. See our address and opening hours at the bottom of the page.
